5 years

I'm afraid that the war in Iraq has also become a sign of spring. I remember watching the display of "shock and awe" while drinking beer with my sister in a Manhattan bar. It was a surreal experience.

The Department of Defense reports US military deaths as of March 19, 2008 to be 3,991 people and the number of Americans wounded in action to be 29, 451 people.

IBC estimates Iraqi civilian deaths during to this period to be between 82,249 and 89,760 people.
