rock star

In response to Dottie's growing fan club I have dedicated today's blog to him. Since he would not cooperate and pose outside (I have not convinced him that it is spring, he has a calendar and he knows that the first day of spring is March 20) I have chosen some shots from his portfolio.

Rock star! How funny. He is a cutie. Like that pick from outside. I actually had similar black and white cat - more white and black if you think about it -- when I was growing up. His name was Bippy as in "You can bet your bippy" from Laugh-in. My mother, the cat lover, named him that. We had about 4 cats when I was a kid. There was Mimmy, a siamese, who loved to sleep on the boiler or in front of the fireplace when there was a fire. Wussy, an all white cat, who loved cantaloupe and once kidnapped some baby bunnies that my dad had to return to their mother. And Willow -- my sister's cat -- a beautiful calico. She really was pretty. When I was a teen, I convinced my dad to let me adopt a cat from the pet store -- that one was black with white feet so I named it Sox. She was a really mangy kitten, but turned into a gorgeous cat with almost long-hair fur. Really pretty. After I went away to college I would only see her on visits. I don't think she forgave me, but then again she wasn't an affectionate cat.
